Jackson Street Subway Renovation

Provided architectural and engineering services for the renovation of the Jackson – Van Buren Streets Subway Station on the Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line. The completed renovation serves as a prototype for future reconstructions of the downtown Blue Line stations. Design effort encompassed street, mezzanine and platform-level work, with specific tasks including ADA compliance, design of entry canopies, new glazed tile finishes for walls, plaster ceilings, granite pavers for floors, escalator replacement, lighting design, and a customer assistance kiosk.
