For each project Knight is awarded, we strive to compile the best possible team for the tasks at hand. In doing so, we create the ability to foster relationships with sub-consultant firms that provide a variety of professional services including MEP, survey, and geotechnical engineering.

We are an advocate of the utilization of small, minority, disadvantaged, women, veteran and service-disabled veteran-owned firms as sub-consultants in the accomplishment of our professional assignments. These firms are selected to complement, rather than supplement, the project effort and are assigned a meaningful part of the project work. We ensure participation through our established relationships with more than 100 highly qualified sub-consultant firms as well as through mentor-protégé partnerships, participation in professional organizations and on-going efforts to develop new relationships with a diverse pool of qualified business partners.

Knight is always looking to team with new sub-consultant firms. If your firm is interested in working on future projects with Knight, please tell us about yourself. (Click Here for Sub-Consultant Information Form)

Knight is proud to serve as a mentor to several highly qualified protégé firms including:

The Roderick Group is a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise that delivers construction and civil engineering consultancy services on a wide range of infrastructure projects. Our Mentor-Protégé partnership was recently selected by the Illinois Department of Transportation to provide construction engineering services required for the improvement of I-57 over I-294.

Geo. Bancroft Engineering is a newly established Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business that concentrates on the design of sustainable energy systems and green MEP engineering. We are working together to develop core business systems while focusing on presenting our capabilities to Federal buyers.
